Westin Hotel
From Urban Austin
San Antonio-based Hixon Properties, along with Houston-based Hines Interests plan to construct a 300-room Westin Hotel on the northeast corner of 3rd & Colorado Sts., in the Warehouse District of downtown Austin. Plans for the 18-story structure will incorporate ground-level retail. The design architect chosen for this development is San Antonio-based Lake+Flato Architects, Inc.
Construction is expected to start in 2009 and take approximately 18-24 months to complete.
