Seaholm Redevelopment

Seaholm Power, LLC plans a Spring 2009 groundbreaking on the redevelopment of Austin's Seaholm Power Plant, which includes the new, $63 million, 22-story hotel and condo tower.
The Seaholm Plaza Hotel and Residences will kick-start the ~370,000 square foot, $117.2 million Seaholm Power redevelopment project. The ~205,000 SF, hotel/condo tower will consist of 160-room hotel-occupying floors 1-6, and 60 condominiums located on floors 7-22. Additional features include converting the Art-Deco power plant into ~100,000 SF of retail, restaurant, office, meeting and event space. Other elements include a two-story, ~65,000 sq. ft. office building behind the plant and 3 acres of green space (including landscaped plazas). A 315-space parking garage will also be included in the site's redevelopment.
The project's architect is Baltimore-based Design Collective, Inc.
