AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center
From Urban Austin
The new AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center will provide a world-class residential learning environment to business professionals and students.
Positioned two blocks from the McCombs School of Business and four blocks south of the Littlefield Fountain and the South Mall, the center will be part of a new gateway to the University. it will welcome executives, alumni, prospective students and visitors to campus. With equally impressive views of the landmark University of Texas Tower and the Texas State Capitol Building, the site offers vistas for a facility that will connect the world of education and commerce.
The facility will contain seven tiered classrooms, a 300 seat amphitheater, multiple break out rooms, several conference rooms and an 800 seat ballroom to complement a 300 room residential center. It is unclear who will operate the guest room facilities at the center.
In June 2007, UT awarded naming rights to AT&T in exchange for $25 million. AT&T will reportedly oversee, pay for and install all technical telecommunications and other technical presentation equipment in the building.
The facility is currently under construction.
